Sad creature that I am, I have one of these jackets, as well as a Berghaus goretex ( better than my friend's Galvin Green!!) , and a a Benross Max 4. They are all very,very good jackets, but the one I wear when the weather is truly foul is the Benross Max 4 ( and was the cheapest!!)

This Jacket is absolutely superb. It 100% waterproof and extremely comfortable with no restrictive feeling, which can be a problem with jackets. You can buy the trousers plus jacket for the cost of a Galvin Green Jacket alone, which is a winner straight off. The ryder cup team wore this very waterproof, and you'll recall the story about that. Top kit, superb product.
