Charley Hull Secures First Win on Ladies European Tour

Charley Hull Secures First Win on Ladies European Tour
Just shy of her 18th birthday, England’s Charley Hull has claimed her first Ladies European Tour victory. Overcoming France’s Gwladys Nocera during a final round playoff at the Lalla Meryem Cup in Morocco.

Coming from 5-strokes behind Hull charged into contention on Sunday, starting with back-to-back birdies on the first and second holes. The 17-year-old’s good form continued throughout the day with the young golfer finishing with a stunning 62.

With both Hull and Nocera ending at 15-under par the tournament went to playoff, with Hull ultimately claiming victory.

“I shot nine under today which is pretty good and I thought I had it on the last. It just missed and then making birdie in the play-off to win it, my hands were shaking like mad,” Hull said afterwards.

“I got my first win while I'm still 17, I'm 18 next week, so I'm really happy.”
