Shakira has added her name to the list of celebrity females including Kylie Minogue and Halle Berry who enjoy hitting some golf balls in their spare time.

A-list film star Berry has been seen holing shots with her golf putter alongside partner Gabriel Aubry, while Australian pop queen Minogue has also hit the course with boyfriend Andres Velencoso.

Now it is the turn of Colombian musician Shakira to reveal her love of the game, despite openly admitting that she does not generally have the co-ordination and ability to excel at sporting activities.

According to contactmusic.com, the 32-year-old said: "I'm really bad at sports, believe it or not. If you throw a ball at me it will probably break my face because I have no reflexes whatsoever.

"But, in golf, you just need concentration, of which I have plenty - and a hip swing."

Shakira released her latest album She Wolf earlier this year and has witnessed success with the release of the title track, which made it to a high of number four in the UK charts.
