Young golfer shoots round of 57 in state championship
A young golfer gave himself a day to remember in Mobile, Alabama recently when shooting a round of 57 with his golf clubs in a state championship.

Robin Wyatt did little wrong as he carded an eagle and 12 birdies during the second round of the tournament to record a round of 14-under-par.

He was in especially hot form with his golf putter as he required just 23 shots on the green during the round.

Wyatt said: "It was just one of those days that just happens. Everything goes in. I got on the 12th tee and I realised 'I'm doing something special here', so I tried to stay focused.

"I've been working on my putting all summer, and haven't had hardly any putts fall for me, and to have them all fall in one day, it was a rewarding experience."

The 17-year-old completed his memorable day by knocking in an 18-foot birdie putt on the final hole and believes he will not truly reflect on the round until he gets a bit older.

Earlier this month, Paul Goydos became only the fourth man to shoot under 60 in a PGA Tour event when registering a round of 59 at the John Deere Classic.
