Wilson Staff blade irons among the "most beautiful" available
Thursday 05 November, 2009
Players looking for a set of golf irons that help produce the level of performance to match their looks will find the Wilson Staff Fg59 Tour Blade golf irons to be a perfect pick, according to a reviewer.
Writing for golfreview.com, low-handicapper Martin Lehmann revealed that the irons are "without doubt one of the most beautiful forged blades on the market".
Part of the key features of the design is the decision to implement a wider sole, while ground interaction is improved through the centre of gravity being dropped by a lower muscle back.
The reviewer concluded: "With the Fg59s you get what you see: high-end playing irons with a stunning look."
Among the PGA Tour professionals to have already benefitted from what the irons have to offer is US golfer DJ Trahan.
After using a prototype in 2007, he went on to add the clubs to his golf bag and witnessed success with them at the 2008 Bob Hope Classic, when he defeated Justin Leonard by three strokes.
Trahan's only other PGA Tour victory came when he got the better of Joe Durant in a play-off at the Southern Farm Bureau Classic in 2006.
