Sinking putts can be the hardest part of playing golf

Failure to sink golf balls from close range with a golf putter is something that understandably infuriates players at particular times and US Open champion Lucas Glover has remarked that it can be the hardest thing to get right.
Glover recently won his maiden major by two strokes, with his trusty aid on the greens in that event being a new Nike prototype putter, which is also used by the likes of Paul Casey.
During the tournament, the American only three-putted on one of the 72 holes, but he has stated that at other times his putter isn't so cooperative.
According to the Washington Times, he said: "Everybody has wrestled with the fact that you can cover 500 yards in two shots and screw it all up by missing a four-footer. That just doesn't seem right.
"It should be the simplest part of the game, and yet it's the hardest. If you think about it too much, it will make you crazy."
The golf putter is widely regarded as the most important club in a golf bag as it is used for almost half of the shots carried out by a player.
