Daly confirmed for Australian PGA Championship
Controversial US golfer John Daley will be taking part in the Australian PGA Championship for a third consecutive year, it has been announced.

Organisers said that the Titlist Pro V1 golf ball user, who last won the US PGA Tour back in 2004, would be at the tournament this December.

"I really love coming to Australia," Daly said in a statement

"The Coolum course is great, the fans love their golf and I hope I can come back this year and really put in a good performance."

Daly remains a popular draw for golfing crowds thanks to his 'wild thing' tag, colourful dress sence and powerful driving from off the tee.

The 44-year-old has won two majors during his career which are the 1995 British Open and the 1991 US PGA Championship.

At last year's Australian PGA Championship Daly was forced to retire early because of an injury.
