Justin Rose, Eng

One of the young English golfers that has emerged in the last couple of years along with the likes of Luke Donald, Paul Casey and Ian Poulter, to become one of the top golfers in Europe.

Born in South Africa in 1980, Justin spent the first years of his life there before his family moved to England.

After a promising amateur career which ended with a dramatic finish at the Open Championship in 1998 which saw him finish tied 4th, Justin decided to turn professional.

After a rocky start to his new career he ploughed on until his first professional win in 2002 where he returned to his country of birth to snatch the Dunhill Championship.

To date, Justin has won 7 Tour events so far and no doubt will continue to win many more.  He was awarded the prestigious European Order of Merit for earning over 2.9 million euros in tournament prize money during 2007.

In 2008 he earned a place on the European Ryder Cup Golf team and showed his worth by earning valuable points in the singles, and proved and excellent pairing with Ian Poulter.  Unfortunately he was somewhat let down by the rest of the team’s performance at the Valhalla Golf Club, but no doubt he will be a top choice for the next Ryder Cup in 2010.
