As golf gets set to make its triumphant return to the Olympics for the first time since 1904, Team USA has confirmed they will be dressed by
adidas Golf at Rio 2016.
With brand ambassadors Jessica Korda and
Dustin Johnson on hand for the announcement yesterday in Miami, excitement for the games and golf’s imminent reintroduction quickly grows.
“We are elated that the game's best players will showcase their talents in our apparel on the world's greatest stage,” adidas Golf President Ben Sharpe said. “The storied history of adidas has long been associated with the greatest athletes in the world, and we're proud to support the athletes of the USA Golf Team as they compete for their place in Olympic history.”
By the end of this year the brand will launch a line of USA golf-branded apparel. For the games, players will be outfitted with layering pieces, polo shirts, outerwear and trousers, designed to the highest of adidas standards.
