Andres Romero claimed his first PGA Tour victory at the Zurich Classic in New Orleans yesterday Sunday, March 31st.
The Argentine, who fell agonisingly short at last years Open, double-bogeying the 17th as final round leader, finished on 13-under for the tournament, after a four-under 68.
However there was a long wait for the 26-year-old as a rain delay interrupted proceedings.
Romero, who came away with 1,116,00 558,000 commented Im glad to win my first PGA Tour event. I will play on the PGA Tour as much as I can.
He said of the delay I didnt know if it would be enough. I was a little nervous. I tried to spend time with my friends.
