Jamie Donaldson Earns Special Temporary PGA Tour Membership

With his strong showing at Doral last weekend, Welshman Jamie Donaldson has been given temporary membership on the PGA Tour until the end of 2014.
 
Donaldson’s tie for 2nd on the Blue Monster earned him a further 378 FedEx Cup points and pushed the 38-year-old up to number 27 in the world rankings.
 
The special membership allows the golfer to accept an unlimited number of sponsor exemptions on Tour throughout the remainder of this year.  Giving Donaldson the edge on qualifying for the Ryder Cup Team. But he’s not getting ahead of himself just yet.
 
“There's a long way to go [before the Ryder Cup],” said Donaldson.
 
Adding, “It would be great to play in the [European Ryder Cup] team obviously, but I just need to keep playing well and just do the best I can.”
