Jason Day Secures Match Play Win after Intensive Playoff
After dwindling the 64-man field down in Arizona, Sunday’s final of the WGC-Accenture Match Play saw Jason Day and Victor Dubuisson battling it out in an intense playoff.  With Day finally triumphing on the 23rd hole.

The two golfers treated spectators to a passionate show to the bitter end.  Matching each other hole for hole with Dubuisson demonstrating how best to shoot your ball out of the way of a cactus!  Something even Day had to marvel at.

“Vic, man, he has a lot of guts,” said the Australian afterwards.  “He has a great short game -- straight out of the cactus twice.  For a 23-year-old kid, he's got a lot of game.  We're going to see a lot of him for years to come.”

But Day, armed with his TaylorMade SLDR Driver and Tour Preferred MC Irons, held on.  Producing a birdie at number 15 that secured his victory and moves the 26-year-old from number 11 to number 4 in the world rankings.

“The biggest thing was, `How much do I want to win?’  I kept saying that to myself.  Last night, I kept visualizing myself with the trophy,” said Day.  “I'm glad I could finish it off.  But it was a close one.”
