Rory McIlroy off to a Great Start at the Korean Open

Rory McIlroy off to a Great Start at the Korean Open
After a disappointing 2013 season, Rory McIlroy is looking to turn his luck around beginning this weekend at the Korean Open.  Halfway thru the tournament the 24-year-old stands in good position just 2-strokes behind the lead.

It was an iffy morning yesterday for the 24-year-old as he bogeyed four holes, placing him well down the leaderboard.  But he was able to pick up his game birdieing five of his remaining 10 holes.

“There was a few sloppy shots, or sloppily played holes. I made three (consecutive) bogeys on the back nine which wasn't great but most of the other stuff was actually pretty solid,” said the Nike player.  “After that stretch today on the back nine, I turned it around and played the last 10 holes in four-under, so it was a pretty good effort.”

McIlroy will now by hoping that effort pays off and he can keep the momentum going to claim victory on Sunday.
