Earlier this week
TaylorMade Golf announced their latest design series, the M1 featuring what the brand claims is their
“longest driver ever”.
Promoted as the
“unmetalwood”, the M1 driver boasts a number of features sure to bring it throngs of fans when it hits the market next month. A carefully crafted carbon composite crown weighing just 10 grams helps to significantly reduce the club’s CoG. Allowing designers to redistribute the weight elsewhere in the head, mainly to the exclusive T-Track system.
Featuring two unique tracking systems the M1 driver is possibly the most customisable club. Offering high performance options for every swing to enhance both distance and playability.
The back track on the T-Track system consists of one 10-gram weight that allows for the adjusting of various high, medium and low launch and spin settings. While the front track uses a 15-gram weight to provide multiple draw, neutral and fade settings.
A black and white contrast head makes for a super sleek design that lends to extra confidence at address combined with its new construction to offer improved sound – “solid, hot and crisp” according to TaylorMade.
All this goes a long way in helping to make the M1 a pretty big deal in 2015.
“With the constant advances in titanium technology, we found ourselves at a crossroads, one where the R15 was almost unbeatable,” explains Brian Bazzel, TaylorMade’s Senior Director of Product Creation. “We have an allegiance to performance and we were willing to use whatever material or construction necessary to deliver it. I believe the new M1 is a true reflection of our dedication to improving golfers through innovative designs.”
