The Cleveland Tour Action lineup is legendary for bringing "Form Forging" and "Micro-Cavity" technology to mainstream golf during the late 1990s and early 2000s. Cleveland engineered these clubs using a specialized carbon steel casting process that was subsequently forged, delivering the ultra-soft feel of a traditional forged blade combined with the complex perimeter weighting of a cast game-improvement iron. The series masterfully spans the entire skill spectrum: the razor-thin TA1 muscle-backs offered elite workability for tour professionals, the mid-sized TA3 cavity-backs blended feedback with moderate forgiveness for low-to-mid handicappers, and the deep-cavity TA5 and TA7 models maximized launch, stability, and distance for recreational players.
