The brand new s259 wedges build upon the impressive spin and control features of the award-winning s159 family. With refined grinds and additional loft options, golfers of every skill level can enjoy enhanced precision and versatility, all while benefiting from a Tour-preferred look, feel, and sound.

Featuring wheel-cut grooves that are precision-milled to varying dimensions depending on the loft, the s259 wedges take performance to the next level. The 54-degree to 62-degree options come equipped with closely spaced MicroMax grooves, while the 46-degree to 52-degree wedges boast a 20-degree sidewall, milled for maximised groove volume, ensuring superior control on full shots. A friction-enhancing face blast further contributes to improved launch and spin control, allowing for precision play from all distances.

The E-grind has been re-designed in the s259 to achieve a more familiar appearance at address, while still delivering high performance from the sand and slightly open-faced shots. The T grind features a steeper trailing edge, enabling the face to sit exceptionally low on open-faced shots. Additionally, the new W grind, available in 50° and 52°, caters to golfers with steeper angles of attack, providing a lower-loft option that optimises gapping.

S259 Grind Options

New optimised loft offerings boost player confidence and versatility. Each PING wedge loft is specifically designed to excel in particular situations. Lower-lofted s259 wedges (46°-50°) feature a straighter leading edge paired with a lower and more centred centre of gravity (CG). This design benefits gapping and blending seamlessly into PING iron sets.

The middle lofts within the S259 wedge family (50°-54°) incorporate a full-length bottom groove alongside a higher CG to enhance distance control and manage off-speed wedge shots effectively.

High-lofted S259 wedges (56°-62°) leverage added visual offset and a more compact hosel, which instils confidence in golfers when manipulating the clubface in tighter situations around the greens.

  • Precision-milled, wheel-cut grooves in the s259 wedges ensure high-spinning results on shots from all distances and conditions.
  • S259 wedges feature six grind options and 25 loft/grind combinations.
  • E-grind re-shaped with the s259 wedge to provide a more familiar aesthetic while maintaining top performance from bunkers.
  • S259 T-grind incorporates a steeper trail edge, allowing the face to sit low on open-face shots.
  • New 50° and 52° W grinds introduced with the s259 wedge for golfers with steeper angles of attack needing lower-lofted options.
  • S259 wedges are engineered with precision-milled MicroMax grooves, including a full-length bottom groove, with a friction-enhancing face blast.
  • Investment-cast 8620 carbon steel head with a larger and re-shaped elastomer insert.
  • S259 wedge stock shaft: PING Z-Z115; the new Dylawedge grip features specified locations for effective gripping down, face angle control, and tilt (shaft lean).
