Easy to use, accurate distance, able to see screen without my glasses on.
I didn't want gimmicks on a GPS watch when I'm playing golf. I want to know the distances to the front, middle and back of the green plus ease of establishing the distance to hazards and the carry needed to clear them. I don't need more and this watch delivers my requirements.
My fourth GPS golf watch. I was looking for a "simple use" golf wath and the "Shot Scope G3 GPS Golf Watch" is a good compromise but I prefer my Bushnell.
Bought the G3 to replace a gps iPhone app which had become very slow to update since returning to golf following lockdown. The G3 was easy to set up and download the associated app. After a little practice the product is quite intuitive to use on the course. It is quick to update distances and appears to be more accurate than my previously used app. The screen is easy to read, even in the brightest sunlight and provides all the information required, distance to front, centre and back of green together with distances to hazards. Battery life is good, using about 50% during an 18 hole round. Overall very satisfied with the performance.
The GPS is fast to find the satellite and the course you are on. The functions are simple to follow as there is guidance on every screen. Colour screen constantly showing the time during the round without having to click onto a separate screen. Great functionality for the price. If you just want the basic distances and hazards without the score and shot analysis then this is the watch for you. Only issue so far has been a screen 'freeze' after charging to 100%. This was rectified by resetting the watch by holding down the top left button for 15 to 20 seconds.
