THE FIRST DRIVERS TO OPTIMISE POI FOR STRAIGHTER MISS-HITS
Traditionally, golf manufacturers have primarily focused on MOI to improve club stability and forgiveness. Cobra is proud to be the first brand to address the lesser-known measure of POI, which considers club rotation across the three axes (MOI,Y (horizontal), MOI,X (vertical), and MOI,Z (toe up or down)) during off-centre impacts. The OPTM drivers are the first to effectively optimise both MOI and POI through precise weight distribution and shaping, resulting in a driver that drastically lessens gear effect, allowing for up to 23% tighter dispersion for longer and straighter off-centre shots.
THE FIRST 13K DRIVER
Cobra has taken the highest MOI driver and combined it with lower POI, introducing the first 13K driver and the most stable golf driver available. This impressive 13K MOI score is achieved by merging the 10K values across two horizontal (MOIyy) and vertical (MOIxx) axes with the third diagonal axis (MOIzz). By employing supercomputing and advanced A.I. methods, Cobra engineers have attained design harmony that maximises MOI while effectively reducing POI by more than 50%. The result is significantly diminished side spin on off-centre impacts, leading to straighter and more accurate drives that remain aligned with your target line. Comparative testing against the DS-ADAPT MAX-K demonstrated that the OPTM MAX-K delivers an additional 0.5 shots gained and allows for 82% more playable drives per round.
RESHAPED FOR FORGIVENESS
To optimise both MOI and POI, mass is symmetrically distributed around the centre of gravity and across the three key axes, tightly encircling the centre of gravity to minimise the club's diagonal resistance to rotation. By harnessing A.I.-driven simulation technologies, Cobra engineers have meticulously analysed millions of impact locations to gain profound insights into gear effect, allowing them to determine the best placement for metal/mass and moveable weights in each model.

The loft and lie can be adjusted by +/- 2 degrees in any direction, facilitating finely-tuned fitting customisation. The innovative SMARTPAD® design ensures that the face angle remains square, regardless of the setting.
MOI-TUNED WEIGHTING
The OPTM MAX-K driver incorporates a fixed back weight of 11g, which positions the centre of gravity low and towards the back to maximise both MOI and club stability.
H.O.T. FACE TECHNOLOGY
The driver features a forged face insert equipped with H.O.T. Face technology, providing improved face flex for enhanced distance and ball speeds, delivering superior performance on and around the centre of the face.
