Wilson Staff is going for distance in 2017. Unveiling their new D300 designs that will be available in the UK from early February. Here we’ll take a look at the latest D300 Drivers, Fairway Woods, Hybrids and Irons
in the range.
Since it’s introduction to the market a few years ago the Wilson Staff D Series of golf clubs has been known as a super game-improvement range. With the D300, the brand is also hoping to make it known for speed. If you’re in any doubt this is the choice for players needing a bit more forgiveness, distance and confidence at address. The entire range has set out to provide this and we don’t think they disappoint!
The D300 Driver
combines a new aerodynamic design with Right Light Technology to produce increased club head speed and greater distance off the tee. The Micro Vortex Generators located on the top of the head help to make the driver more aerodynamic and faster through the air. Fast-Fit Technology exists in the 6-way adjustable hosel, which includes three draw settings, making it one of the lightest, fastest, smallest and easiest to use systems.
The D300 Fairway Woods
carry on the same aerodynamic look as the driver with the addition of a Carpenter Custom 455 Stainless Steel Face Insert to help achieve maximum distance and greater ball speed. The D300 Hybrids
also feature the Carpenter Custom 455 Stainless Steel Face Insert as well as the Micro Vortex Generators with a more modern head design to produce increased forgiveness on longer shots.
The D300 Irons
are all about better feel, control and power. Utilising three key features these irons promise improved sound, accuracy and distance. The D300 features the brand’s next generation of FLX Face Technology that allows for 76% of the face to be completely free from the body to deliver maximum flex upon impact. Power Holes filled with TE031 Urethane further allow the face to flex upon impact. While specific heel-toe weightings placed on the extreme perimeter of the club head help to increase MOI for maximum forgiveness.
