Win tickets to a DP World Tour event with FootJoy FJ Pulse golf shoes
The short version Buy a pair of FootJoy FJ Pulse golf shoes, post a photo of them on social media with #FJPulse, and tag us (@golfonlineuk on Instagram, GolfOnline on Facebook). That is the whole entry. FootJoy is giving away tickets to the BMW PGA Championship, the Amgen Irish Open and the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship.

Most shoe promotions give you a free towel. This one gives you a week of the best golf in Europe.

FootJoy has tied its new FJ Pulse to three DP World Tour events, and the entry mechanic is about as simple as these things get. There is no form to fill in, no code to remember at checkout and no receipt to email anyone. You buy the shoes, you post a photo, you add a hashtag. Done.

The catch, if you can call it one, is that you have to actually buy a pair. So it is worth knowing what you are getting.

How to enter

Three steps, and the whole thing takes about a minute once your shoes arrive.

1 Buy a pair of FJ Pulse Men's or ladies', any colourway. Both fits are in stock at GolfOnline.
2 Post a photo Share a picture featuring your new shoes on social media. On the first tee, in the boot of the car, still in the box. It is your call.
3 Hashtag and tag us Add the hashtag and tag us, so the entry can be counted. We are @golfonlineuk on Instagram and GolfOnline on Facebook. #FJPulse

Worth saying plainly: the post has to be public for anyone to see it. A private account means the hashtag is invisible and the entry will not be picked up.

Where you could end up

Three tournaments, three very different days out. Doonbeg for the links golf, Wentworth for the atmosphere, St Andrews for the history. They run in that order too.

Win tickets to the Amgen Irish Open at Doonbeg with FootJoy FJ Pulse
10 to 13 September Amgen Irish Open Trump International Golf Links, Doonbeg, County Clare One of the oldest national opens in golf, first played in 1927, and back on the west coast for the first time since Lahinch in 2019. Links golf on the Wild Atlantic Way in September, which can mean anything from still and sunlit to properly wild. If you want the version of this sport that looks nothing like a manicured parkland course, this is the ticket.
Win tickets to the BMW PGA Championship at Wentworth with FootJoy FJ Pulse
17 to 20 September BMW PGA Championship Wentworth Club, Virginia Water, Surrey The flagship event of the DP World Tour and the one most British golfers would pick. The West Course in September, a celebrity pro-am, live music at the weekend and a field that turns up because this is the one they all want to win. Record crowds last year watched Alex Noren take it in a play-off. It is also the most accessible of the three if you are based anywhere near London.
Win tickets to the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship at St Andrews with FootJoy FJ Pulse
1 to 4 October Alfred Dunhill Links Championship St Andrews, Carnoustie and Kingsbarns, Scotland Three of the best courses in Scotland across four days, with professionals and amateurs playing alongside each other. If you have ever wanted to stand behind the 18th at the Old Course and watch tournament golf come up the last, this is the one to want. October on the east coast of Fife, so pack accordingly.

What the FJ Pulse actually is

FootJoy's line on the Pulse is that more comfortable should not mean less competitive. That sounds like marketing until you look at what is actually in the shoe.

It arrived in January 2026 as the comfort-led entry into FootJoy's spikeless range, sitting below the Pro/SL and the Quantum on price while keeping the things that matter most to a golfer walking eighteen holes. It is waterproof, it is cushioned, and it is built on a last designed to let your foot spread rather than squeeze it. Here is what each of those means in practice.

Cushioning
SofFOAM underfoot The headline technology, and the reason the shoe exists. SofFOAM is a plush foam midsole built for all-day walking and playing comfort rather than pure court-style responsiveness. It is backed up by a high-density moulded EVA FitBed, so the cushioning is doing two jobs: softness where your foot lands, structure underneath it so the shoe does not collapse into a slipper by the back nine. If you have ever finished a round with sore heels, this is the part of the shoe aimed squarely at you.
Weather
Waterproof, with a one-year warranty This is the specification people miss at this price. The upper is premium synthetic leather that FootJoy warrants 100% waterproof in normal use for a year, paired with breathable mesh linings so it does not turn into a sauna in August. A lot of comfort-led spikeless shoes are essentially trainers with a golf outsole and give up the moment there is dew on the grass. This one is a proper golf shoe for a British autumn.
Traction
Multi-dimensional grip, with flex grooves The outsole targets two different forces. Rotational, which is what your back foot fights as you turn through the ball, and lateral, which is what stops you sliding sideways off a downhill lie. Flex grooves are cut through the pattern so the sole bends with your foot as you walk, which is the difference between a shoe that feels like a plank after four miles and one you forget you are wearing. Spikeless also means you can drive in them and walk into a clubhouse without changing.
Fit
Built on the Vantage Last FootJoy builds its shoes on named lasts, and the Pulse uses the Vantage. In plain terms: a full fit across the forefoot with a rounded toe so your toes can spread properly, and a slightly narrowed heel to lock the back of the foot down and keep the profile athletic. That combination suits most golfers, and it is particularly worth knowing if you have found other spikeless shoes tight across the front. Medium and wide widths are both made.

The specification

Upper Premium waterproof synthetic leather, breathable mesh linings
Cushioning SofFOAM midsole, high-density moulded EVA FitBed
Outsole Spikeless, multi-dimensional traction, flex grooves
Last Vantage
Lacing Traditional
Waterproofing 1-year waterproof warranty
Widths Medium and wide
Sizes Men's 6 to 11 including half sizes, plus 12, 13 and 14. Ladies' 3 to 8
Who it suits Golfers who walk, golfers who want one pair that works on and off the course, and anyone who has spent a round wishing they had worn something else. The waterproofing makes it a genuine year-round option rather than a summer shoe. If you have an aggressive, ground-driven swing and want maximum lockdown, look at the spiked end of the FootJoy range instead.

Frequently asked

Which tournaments can I win tickets to?

Three DP World Tour events this autumn: the Amgen Irish Open at Doonbeg from 10 to 13 September, the BMW PGA Championship at Wentworth from 17 to 20 September, and the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship across St Andrews, Carnoustie and Kingsbarns from 1 to 4 October.

How much are FootJoy FJ Pulse golf shoes?

£89 at GolfOnline in both the men's and ladies' fits, reduced from £99.95. Both qualify for the giveaway.

Are FJ Pulse shoes spiked or spikeless?

Spikeless. The outsole is designed to give traction through the swing while staying flexible enough to walk in comfortably and wear off the course.

What is SofFOAM?

It is the cushioning FootJoy uses underfoot in the Pulse, and the shoe's main comfort technology. It is the reason the Pulse is comfortable from the first round rather than needing breaking in.

Do I need to be a good golfer to enter?

No. This is a photo giveaway, not a competition of skill. Anyone who buys a pair and posts a qualifying photo can enter.

Do the Pulse come in ladies' sizes?

Yes. The ladies' Pulse runs from size 3 to 8 in three colourways, and the men's from 6 to 11 with 12, 13 and 14 also available.

Are FootJoy FJ Pulse golf shoes waterproof?

Yes. The upper is premium synthetic leather that FootJoy warrants 100% waterproof in normal use for one year, with breathable mesh linings inside.

Do the Pulse come in a wide fit?

FootJoy makes the Pulse in medium and wide widths. It is built on the Vantage Last, which gives a full fit across the forefoot with a rounded toe and a slightly narrowed heel. Check the width options listed on the product page before ordering.

Can I enter more than once?

Check the full terms before assuming either way. Entry rules on multiple posts and multiple purchases are set by FootJoy.
