Sergio Garcia has granted the wish of one persistent fan whose dream was to caddie for the 37-year-old.
The power of social media can be a pretty funny thing. Take the case of England’s Mark Johnson, who made it his mission to contact Garcia every day via Twitter for 206 days with the same request, #Letmecaddieforyou. While many would have given up, Johnson refused to be deterred and on Saturday got the surprise of his life when Garcia finally responded.
Garcia has since said that Johnson will be on his bag in September at the British Masters pro-am. While many professional athletes might be weary of rewarding borderline stalking Garcia could see how much it meant to Johnson proving you should never give up on a dream!!!
