Mark Crossfield reviews the new Cobra KING Versatile Wedges

Mark Crossfield reviews the new Cobra KING Versatile Wedges. Mark discusses the new design and how it looks really friendly at address. He is really impressed with a notch carved out of the back of the sole, this helps when you open the club to get closer to the ground.

There is a variation of 3 grinds throughout the different lofts, this is perfect for players wanting to play on courses with different types of ground conditions such as firm tight links courses all the way through to soft lush inland courses. There is a progressive groove technology running throughout the range of wedges.

This is to help control the spin on each shot variation. So when you are using a lower lofted club you would be wanting to have a drop and stop level of spin, whereas with a more lofted wedge you might want to get more spin and control around the greens. So the grooves are customised and aligned to the lofts on the range.

Overall Mark thinks these wedges are well worth a try even if they might not be the biggest brand name. The name the Versatile wedge is well suited.
