Three-time major winner,
Padraig Harrington has announced he will be staying with
Wilson Golf for the 18th consecutive year.
Just one month after the 43-year-old won the Indonesia Open, his first victory since 2010, Harrington has made it clear he is sticking by the brand that has seen him through almost two decades as a professional golfer.
The Irishman stated, “It's not a surprise that I have chosen to stay with the brand with whom I have won three Majors.”
Adding, “The equipment is pivotal to my success on Tour, and I have been with Wilson almost from the start of my professional career. They provide the tools I need to continue striving for perfection.”
Wilson Golf’s European Commercial Director, Doug Wright is equally happy with the golfer’s decision to remain a brand ambassador.
Stating, “We’re delighted that Padraig has chosen to re-sign with us and continue the excellent working relationship that has helped bring so much success over the last 17 years. He’s the perfect ambassador for a brand that has won more Major championships with its irons (61) and wedges (82) than any other, and we look forward to more success next year.”
Since teaming up with brand in 1998, Harrington has gone on to win three majors, including his back-to-back Open Championship victories in 2007 and 2008.
Speaking last month after his 29th international win on the Asian Tour Harrington admitted, “Winning is a good habit to have. It gives you a lot of confidence and I need that confidence.”
The golfer will now be hoping he can carry the momentum of this triumph forward as he prepares to take on 2015 with the latest technology from Wilson Golf.
With an arsenal including the
FG Tour V2 Irons and the new Infinite South Side Mallet Putter, Harrington is looking to infuse his game with the passion and confidence needed to make 2015 a stellar year on the golf course.
