Norway’s Suzann Pettersen is closing the gap between her and the number one player in the world, Inbee Park. With a five-stroke victory at Sunday’s Sunrise LPGA Championship, number two Pettersen earned her fourth win of the 2013 season.
Going into the final round of Sunday, the Nike player held a comfortable four-stroke lead. But a late run by Azahara Munoz closed the gap to just one. Determined to defend her title, Pettersen rallied with birdies at the 13th and 14th to finish at an impressive 3-under 69.
Receiving well-deserved congratulation from fellow player
