TaylorMade finishes Strong at Bay Hill as Rory celebrates first win since 2016

TaylorMade Golf is pushing its way to the top, with the brand boasting three of the top-five finishers at Sunday’s Arnold Palmer Invitational.  Rory McIlroy carded a sensational bogey-free final round to collect his first victory since 2016 while Tiger Woods spent his second weekend in contention, proving he is more than ready to win again.  Check out all the action below and see the gear the top pros were using at Bay Hill.

Rory McIlroy

Rory McIlroy secured his first win in 539 days on Sunday in gorgeous fashion. Producing a flawless 8-under 64 that included five birdies on the last six holes, McIlroy’s 14th PGA title is his first since signing with TaylorMade last year.

“To play the golf I did under that pressure I’m so proud of myself and so happy to get the win,” the 28-year-old told reporters afterwards. Adding, “I played a perfect round of golf.”

Justin Rose

After a disaster of a start to the tournament (+4 after the first six holes) Justin Rose proved he is able to hold his nerve and move past a few bad holes. With the Englishman making the cut on Friday to produce consecutive rounds of 67 and finish in third.

Tiger Woods

For the second week in a row Tiger Woods was in contention on the PGA Tour on Sunday. An amazing feat considering where the 42-year-old was just a few months ago after recovering from his fourth back surgery. While the TaylorMade player failed to win at Bay Hill on Sunday, his impressive T5 finish here (and second place finish last weekend) has given golf fans everywhere a glimmer of hope that the 14-time major winner might just be getting close to securing his next victory. Maybe even as soon as Augusta???

“I’m starting to piece it together, tournament by tournament. Each tournament’s gotten a little bit crisper and a little bit better,” Woods said on Sunday.

Here’s a peek at Tiger’s latest gear:

Bryson DeChambeau

Coming in second to McIlroy yesterday, Bryson DeChambeau landed his best finish since winning the John Deere Classic last year. And while the 24-year-old would have loved to garner another title, DeChambeau was more than happy with how his game went at Bay Hill.

“Obviously finishing second out here is not an easy task with all these great players,” the Cobra/Puma player told reporters. “So it was great to be comfortable out there and to actually make a couple clutch putts.”

Check out DeChambeau’s interesting bag below:

Driver: Cobra King LTD Pro Driver
Fairway Woods: Cobra King LTD ¾ Fairway
Irons: Cobra King Forged One Length Irons
Wedges: Cobra King Wedges Versatile Grind
Utility Iron: Cobra King Utility Iron

Henrik Stenson

Having started the final round with a one-stroke lead, the AP Invitational seemed to be Henrik Stenson’s tournament. But alas it was not to be for the Swede, who finished the fourth round with a 1-under 71, four shots behind McIlroy and alone in fourth place.

“I got the pace wrong on a couple of putts,” Stenson explained afterwards. But added,, “I hit a lot of good shots out there this week, even though maybe the confidence is not as high as some of the shots were. So we’ll keep on working on that. It’s a good time of the year to start playing well.”

Have a look at the gear Stenson is using to get that confidence up:

Driver: Callaway Rogue Driver
Fairway Woods: Callaway Rogue Sub Zero Fairway Woods; Diablo Octane Tour Fairway Woods
Irons: Callaway Legacy Black Irons
Wedges: Callaway Mack Daddy Forged Chrome Wedges
