TaylorMade unveils its innovative line of M5 and M6 Woods

With a new year, comes the inevitable influx of new gear and TaylorMade is hitting 2019 hard. Introducing its latest line of drivers, fairway woods and rescues, the brand’s M5 and M6 ranges promise to garner golfers more speed than ever before. Check out the latest specs and the newest technologies TaylorMade is bringing to the game.

Featuring the brand’s highly successful Twist Face technology, the M5 and M6 look to carry on the TaylorMade tradition of pushing the limits to produce groundbreaking hardware every pro and weekend warrior would be proud to put in their bag.

In order to achieve the limits of speed, TaylorMade has come up with a process to calibrate every individual head to the R&A and USGA threshold. The M5 and M6 Drivers are first designed “hot,” meaning they don’t conform to R&A and USGA rules. TaylorMade goes above the legal CT (Characteristic Time) limit and then dials it back by injecting a resin into the face, via ports in the heel and toe areas, to reduce flexibility back below the limit.

“What TaylorMade has done with Injected Twist Face is allow us to have a hotter face that feels more stable,” explains Tiger Woods. “The fact that it’s at the legal limit and that’s as fast as you’re gonna get…you’ll have the confidence to blow it by your competition when you step up to the tee.”

The new M5 Driver boasts a 20% thinner face and a 66% larger sweet spot than the M3. A reimagined Inverse T-Track uses two 10g weights, that can be moved independently to optimise spin and ball flight. Allowing you to dial in to your optimal launch conditions.

The M6 Driver employs much of the same technology of the M5, but adds another level with the all-new Inertia Generator. This faster, more aerodynamic sole stores 46g of weight low and back for maximum forgiveness, increasing MOI and lowering CG to produce higher launch and lower spin. The M6 is also available in a D-Type version for more draw bias.

Straight distance when it matters most…

For the first time ever, TaylorMade has introduced Twist Face technology into its fairway clubs. The M5 and M6 ranges have been specifically designed to make your mis-hits great and your great shots extraordinary.

With the incredible Twist Face technology, the M5 Fairway Wood also benefits from a new titanium head construction, resulting in unprecedented accuracy in one powerful package. A massive 65g movable weight is located in the sole contour. This produces a generous draw/fade adjustability, as well as smooth turf interactions. The M5 also features 12 distinct loft/lie positions for the ultimate in adjustability.

The M6 Fairways and Rescues employ Twist Face technology within a powerful steel frame, to create amazing distance, feel and forgiveness. The new Inertia Generator is also used to help create greater clubhead speed and maximum forgiveness. An aggressive sole Speed Pocket and a new TPU insert work together to improve the club’s playability and give you even greater ball speed.

Don’t just take our word for it…

The pros are already putting the M5 and M6 in their bags. Should you???
