Vic Open Announces Huge Purse increase for 2019
On Friday the Ladies European Tour announced that next year’s Vic Open will have a combined total purse of $3 million. Giving the winners a ten-fold increase from the 2013 champions.
The unique event hosted in Australia, is the only tournament that sees the women and men competing for equal prize money, on the same course at the same time. With this latest injection of money backed by the State government, the Vic Open can now boast it’s Australia golf’s richest week!
The 2019 tournament tees off at the 13th Beach Golf Links February 7, 2019 and offers a total purse of $1.5 million for the men and $1.5 million for the ladies. Sounds good to us!
