SAW-MILLED GROOVES
The MG5 wedges are the first in the range to incorporate aggressive saw-milled grooves. This advanced milling process allows TaylorMade’s designers to push the boundaries of groove geometry, resulting in ultra-tight tolerances, steeper walls, and sharper radii. Consequently, the MG5 delivers enhanced spin compared to previous generations.
SPIN RETENTION IN WET CONDITIONS
Maintaining spin and control in wet conditions has been a hallmark of MG designs. The MG5 wedges, with their RAW face finish and innovative continuous Spin Tread Technology, help golfers retain significant spin even when faced with moisture. These continuous Spin Treads function like all-weather tyres, efficiently redirecting water from the face and increasing friction at the point of impact. Thanks to these advancements combined with the saw-milled grooves, the MG5 retains 13% more spin than the MG4 in wet conditions and maintains a consistent launch angle regardless of the weather.

Offering six different Tour-inspired grinds, the MG5 wedges have been crafted by TaylorMade's master wedge craftsman, Greg Cesario, to provide golfers with diverse options tailored to their individual game. Among these, three grinds align with TaylorMade’s standard bounce profile, appealing to the majority of golfers: the SB, SC, and SX grinds.
SB GRIND
