SAW-MILLED GROOVES
Introducing aggressive saw-milled grooves, the MG5 wedges are the first of their kind in the MG line. This innovative saw-milling process allows TaylorMade’s designers to push the boundaries of groove geometry. With ultra-tight tolerances and sharper radii, these grooves facilitate increased spin, surpassing previous MG generations.
SPIN RETENTION IN WET CONDITIONS
Continuing the legacy of prior MG models, MG5 wedges incorporate a RAW face finish alongside an all-new continuous Spin Tread Technology. This advancement helps golfers maintain optimal spin and control even when conditions are wet, similar to all-weather tyres that enhance performance on slippery roads. With continuous Spin Treads working in synergy with the saw-milled grooves, the MG5 offers a 13% increase in spin retention compared to the MG4 in wet conditions, all while ensuring a consistent launch angle across varying environments.

Three of the grinds align with TaylorMade’s standard bounce profile, appealing to a large majority of golfers: the SB, SC, and SX grinds.
SB GRIND
The SB grind features a full sole design with constant trailing edge relief, providing smooth and consistent turf interaction suitable for various swing types.
