SM11 FAQ

Consider your attack angle, typical course conditions, and how much you manipulate the face. Steep swingers benefit from higher bounce (D Grind), while shallow swingers on firm courses may prefer lower bounce (T Grind). The M Grind offers the most versatility for players who vary their shots.

SM11 introduces the Smarter Spin System featuring a new angled face texture for increased friction, 5% larger groove volume for better debris clearing, and heat-treated groove edges that maintain performance twice as long as previous generations.

Most wedges begin to show performance decline after approximately 75 rounds. Signs include inconsistent spin, balls rolling out more than expected, and visible wear on the groove edges. Competitive players often replace wedges every season.

Tour Chrome offers the highest durability with its electroplated finish. Jet Black provides excellent durability with zero glare. Brushed Nickel sits in the middle. Raw will oxidise and patina over time—a look preferred by many Tour pros but requiring more care.

Standard recommendation is 4° gaps between wedges. Start from your pitching wedge loft and work down. For example, if your PW is 46°, consider a 50° gap wedge, 54° sand wedge, and 58° lob wedge. Adjust based on your yardage requirements.
