Odyssey has moved Zero Torque Forward.
Introducing Odyssey’s groundbreaking line of S2S TRI-HOT putters, a true innovation within the “Zero Torque” category. Through the use of advanced multi-material construction, we have successfully repositioned the centre of gravity (CG) of these putters forward, allowing the shaft to enter the head at the topline. This design upgrade eliminates the requirement for shaft lean, which has often deterred golfers from utilising this style of putter.
Forward CG and Hosel Position
By relocating the CG further forward, we have been able to set the hosel spud on the topline, placing it much nearer to the face compared to traditional “Zero Torque” putters. This results in a more intuitive and comfortable setup position for the golfer.
Multi-Material Construction
Utilising a strategic combination of Aluminium, Steel, and over 140 grams of tungsten, we have engineered a “Zero Torque” putter that places more than 80% of its weight directly under the topline. This innovative design facilitates our forward CG and hosel positioning.
Ai-DUAL Insert
Employing Artificial Intelligence in its design, the dual-layer urethane insert features a soft outer layer and a firmer inner layer. This unique construction not only ensures consistent ball speed across the putter face but also promotes improved forward roll and offers exceptional feel.
New FRD Groove
The newly developed Forward Roll Design Groove is both deeper and more aggressive, featuring a 19° slope. This enhancement works in conjunction with the dual-layer insert to optimise forward roll across the face, offering improved performance.
New Pistol Plus Grip
After conducting extensive surveys of the most popular grips used on Tours globally, we identified common attributes and potential areas for improvement. The outcome is a mid-sized pistol grip, featuring crisp edges that fit comfortably in your hands, consequently providing enhanced awareness of the putter face throughout your stroke.
Black SL 120 Shaft
Specifically developed for Tour use, this new black PVD shaft is both heavier and stiffer than our previous SL 90 model, making it ideally suited for this style of putter.
