Odyssey Has Transformed Zero Torque Forward and Heel-Ward
The latest Odyssey S2S TRI-HOT SB putters revolutionise the concept of “Zero Torque” both in appearance and feel. Utilising innovative multi-material construction, we have successfully repositioned the centre of gravity forward, allowing the shaft to seamlessly connect to the head along the topline. This advancement results in a natural square setup devoid of shaft lean, overcoming one of the significant obstacles associated with zero-torque designs.
The SB (Single Bend) configuration shifts the shaft position towards the heel, providing a more familiar look at address while maintaining the exceptional zero-torque performance. This results in a zero-torque putter that is not centre-shafted, offering clean and unobstructed alignment with an intuitive setup.
The #7 Cruiser features a standard length of 38” with:
a heavier head, an extended and heavier SL140 shaft, and a longer 17” grip tailored for golfers who prefer this configuration.
Zero Shaft Lean with Heel-Ward Hosel Position
By advancing the centre of gravity forward, we positioned the hosel spud directly on the topline, bringing it significantly closer to the face than typical zero-torque putters. This design enables a more instinctive and comfortable setup.
The SB (Single Bend) shaft relocates the hosel towards the heel, ensuring a classic appearance and a clear view of the sightline while preserving zero torque performance.
Multi-Material Construction
We have ingeniously combined Aluminium, Steel, and over 140 grams of tungsten, creating a “Zero Torque” putter that allocates more than 80% of its weight beneath the topline. This design facilitates our forward centre of gravity and hosel positioning.
Ai-DUAL Insert
Utilising artificial intelligence, this dual-layer urethane insert features a soft outer layer and a firmer inner layer, providing consistent ball speed across the face, enhanced forward roll, and exceptional feel both up and down the face.
New F.R.D. Groove Design
The new Forward Roll Design groove is deeper and more aggressive with a 19° slope, working harmoniously with the dual-layer design to improve forward roll both up and down the face.
New Pistol Plus Grip
After surveying the most popular grips used on Tours worldwide, we identified commonalities and areas for improvement. The outcome is a mid-sized pistol grip with crisp edges that fits comfortably in your hands, enhancing your awareness of the putter face throughout your stroke.
Black SL 120 Shaft
This black PVD shaft, developed based on feedback from Tour players, is heavier and stiffer than our SL 90, making it ideally suited for this specific style of putter.
