THE FIRST DRIVERS TO OPTIMISE POI FOR STRAIGHTER MISS-HITS
Traditionally, MOI has been the primary focus for enhancing club stability and forgiveness. However, Cobra takes the lead by introducing POI, which considers club rotation along all three axes (MOI,Y (horizontal), MOI,X (vertical), and MOI,Z (toe up or down)) during off-centre hits. The OPTM drivers are pioneers in optimising both MOI and POI through strategic weight placement and shaping, creating a driver that significantly reduces gear effect, leading to up to 23% tighter dispersion for longer and straighter off-centre shots.
LS IMPROVEMENTS VS LAST GENERATION
By refining POI within a compact head design, the OPTM LS model surpasses its predecessor, the DS-ADAPT LS, in both forgiveness and accuracy. Employing cutting-edge supercomputing and artificial intelligence, Cobra engineers have achieved a design harmony that maximises speed and precision while reducing POI. This innovation results in a notable reduction of side spin on off-centre hits, allowing for straighter drives that are more closely aligned with the target line.
RESHAPED FOR FORGIVENESS
To optimise MOI and POI, mass is symmetrically distributed around the centre of gravity and across the three key axes, reducing the club's resistance to diagonal rotation. Utilising AI-driven simulations, Cobra engineers have meticulously analysed millions of impact locations to gain profound insights into gear effect, facilitating precise placement of metal/mass and movable weights within each model.
FUTUREFIT33 ADJUSTABLE HOSEL
The FutureFit33™ technology showcases 33 unique loft and lie settings, allowing players to optimise ball flight, minimise mis-hits, and maximise distance. Both loft and lie can be adjusted by +/- 2 degrees in any direction, providing tailored fitting options, while the innovative SMARTPAD® design ensures the face angle remains square, regardless of the adjustment made.
ADJUSTABLE WEIGHTING
The OPTM LS driver boasts an advanced descending weight system, equipped with three adjustable weights (11g, 7g, 3g) that can be positioned in the back (neutral flight), heel (draw-biased flight), or toe (fade-biased flight) to fine-tune trajectory control. Incorporating H.O.T. FACE TECHNOLOGY, the forged face insert enhances face flex, resulting in improved distance and ball speeds, especially around the centre of the face.
