DUKE FINALLY MAKES IT WITH VICTORY AT TRAVELERS CHAMPIONSHIP
After 187 starts and almost 20 years as a Pro golfer, Ken Duke secured his first PGA Tour win at the Travelers Championship this weekend in Cromwell Connecticut.

“You gotta believe in yourself in everything you do,” said 44 year-old Duke.  “You have to be patient. You can't make things happen out here. You can't win by pushing everything.”

Years of patience finally paid off on Sunday.  After tying the lead with Chris Stroud at 12 under par, Duke sank a 2.5-foot birdie putt on the second playoff hole to win.  Moving him up to 20th in the latest FedEx Cup standings and securing him a spot at next year’s Masters Tournament.

“Some people make it, some people don't,” Duke said.  “Most of the time you go out and play with your buddies, you try to have fun.   And I've taken that to this level here.  No question, that's kept me going."
