84-Year-Old Putts like Sam Snead and Wins a Car

84-Year-Old Putts like Sam Snead and Wins a Car
The USGA might have banned Sam Snead’s “standing astride” putt in 1968 but that didn’t stop this 84-year-old grandma from employing the technique to win a $16,000 car!

Meet Margaret, a recent contestant on The Price is Right in America.  She might not have managed a hole-in-one but the lively lady was able to make it on her second go to the delight of the crowd and host, Drew Carey.

Luckily for Margaret a California soundstage isn’t governed by USGA Rule 16-1e which states, “The player must not make a stroke on the putting green from a stance astride, or with either foot touching, the line of putt or an extension of that line behind the ball.”

Check out Margaret’s winning putt below.
