Last week Callaway Golf introduced their new line of wedges, the Mack Daddy 2. Along with a series of videos entitled “Wedgeducation,” to guide you through your short game and ensure you get the most out of your scoring clubs.
Carefully created by the company’s chief club designer, Roger Cleveland, the Mack Daddy 2 line features three custom sole grinds and a unique 5V Groove Pattern. This new pattern is 39 percent larger than its predecessor and produces 25 percent more spin.
The emphasized and wider grooves help to enhance spin and optimise control around the greens.
“Golfers ask their lob wedges to perform a lot of different shots so it’s important to design these wedges to be extremely forgiving and versatile,” said Cleveland.
“And that’s what we’ve done with these new grooves and the added custom grind options. The MD2’s will be a must for the golfer who wants to perform to his or her best in the toughest of conditions.”
Already used on TOUR by
Phil Mickelson and Marc Warren, Callaway’s new Mack Daddy 2 line will be available throughout Europe from July 12. To get a “Wedgeducation”
