Dominic Foos Becomes Youngest-Ever Challenge Tour Winner
TaylorMade Golf’s record-breaking weekend didn’t end with Jason Day’s victory at Whistling Straits. Over in Finland TM player Dominic Foos became the youngest-ever winner on the Challenge Tour.

Foos, who turns 18 on the 3rd September, secured his wire-to-wire victory at the GANT Open with an incredible 14-under 270 total. Moving the teenager up to 19 in the Tour’s Order of Merit.

“This is a very special for me. I’m feeling great to have just won my first ever professional event, and my dad told me that I’m the youngest ever to win a Challenge Tour event, which is really amazing,” Foos said afterwards.

The German player, who previously won 14 junior events before turning pro, explained that sharing the win with his parents gave this first career win a whole lot of significance.

“It’s very special to share this with my father. We’ve had a couple of victories together before, but we put in so much hard work and for him to be there next to me as my partner and caddie is even more special,” explained Foos.

Adding, “My mum has been here walking with me every hole, so it’s really something special having your parents here at your first professional win. It’s a dream come true.”

Foos is now looking firmly ahead to the rest of his season. Hoping he will be able to continue to climb the Order of Merit in a bid to secure his 2016 European Tour Card.

"There’s already one TaylorMade Staffer who believes the 17-year-old will have no problem with this…
Congrats @DominicFoos for a great win in Finland on the challenge tour! Keep it going my friend and we'll see you @EuropeanTour next year!"
