Former Ryder Cup captain,
Colin Montgomerie has joined forces with Judy Murray, tennis star Andy Murray’s mother, in a bid to open a purpose-built golf and tennis centre near Stirling in Scotland.
The complex will be the first of its kind in the country. A nine-hole golf course with a practice range and mini-golf experience will feature alongside six indoor and six outdoor tennis courts. The centre will also contain multisport artificial grass courts, changing facilities, coaching suites and a café. With further development planned to include a hotel.
Montgomerie is proud to be a part of the Park of Keir Centre and to be working with Judy Murray.
“Scotland has a long rich history in producing golfers and now Andy Murray has single-handedly provided inspiration for a raft of future tennis stars,” said Montgomerie. “I think that creating a single venue in this central location where Scotland's best golfers and tennis players can train together side by side, sharing know how in a bespoke environment, can only benefit aspiring young Scottish sports stars and I look forward to seeing what we can achieve.”
