TaylorMade Announces Two New Tour-Calibre Golf Balls

TaylorMade Announces Two New Tour-Calibre Golf Balls
Today TaylorMade announced the release of their Tour Preferred and Tour Preferred X range of golf balls.  Models the brand believes will offer golfers complete tee-to-green performance.

With new technologies developed over the past decade, in collaboration with professionals on Tour, the Tour Preferred and Tour Preferred X deliver the company’s softest and most durable cover ever produced.  Giving players more control and better trajectory into and around the greens.

“Golf ball innovation doesn’t just happen overnight.  Rather, it is a series of ongoing conversation with our Tour players,” TaylorMade’s vice president of golf ball R&D, Dean Snell explains.  “These conversations have led to the introduction of breakthrough technologies.”

Both golf balls feature a number of performance innovations including the REACT Core for greater ball speed and better distance, Spin Mantle for more precise and consistent spin rates and Low-Drag Performance Aerodynamics to minimise distance loss on low spin shots and to also sustain ball flight into the wind.

A number of players on Tour have already switched to the new series including Sergio Garcia, Dustin Johnson and Jessica Korda.  Both the Tour Preferred and the Tour Preferred X will be available from the 1st of March.
