Videl looking to defend title at the Allianz Ladies Slovak Open

Videl looking to defend title at the Allianz Ladies Slovak Open
Twelve months ago Denmark’s Line Vedel won her first Ladies European Tournament at the Allianz Ladies Slovak Open.  This weekend she’s looking to repeat that success and got off to a great start on Thursday.  Finishing the first round action tied for the lead with Australia’s Nikki Campbell, at 5 under par.

With her mother Susanne again acting as her caddie, Vedel secured five birdies and a double bogey on the back nine before shooting a further three birdies and a bogey on the front nine.

“I like this course a lot, I like the fact that you have to think your way around and be patient.  I hit 17 greens and had some opportunities,” the 24 year-old said.

Vedel will be hoping for the opportunities to continue throughout the weekend as she looks to secure the title for the second consecutive year.
