Supplying Goods to the EU – VAT, Customs Duties & Import Clearance

Following the UK's exit from the EU single market on 1 January 2021, new customs and tax regulations now apply to all goods shipped from the UK to EU countries. As a result, GolfOnline is fully compliant with the latest post-Brexit trading rules and is committed to offering clear and transparent service options to our EU customers. This section will be updated regularly to reflect ongoing regulatory changes and to help you navigate your delivery and returns experience with ease.

'Delivered at Place' (DAP) Service – CURRENTLY ACTIVE

Our current delivery method to the EU operates under the 'Delivered at Place' (DAP) incoterm. Under this arrangement:

• Net Prices Displayed: All prices shown at checkout are exclusive of UK VAT. You will see the net price of the item(s) plus shipping costs.
• Shipping Rates: We continue to offer competitive delivery rates, including free shipping on qualifying orders. Available rates and thresholds will be displayed during checkout.
• Local Duties, VAT & Clearance Fees: These charges are not included at checkout. Upon arrival in your country, the courier will contact you to collect any local import VAT, customs duties, and administrative clearing fees before releasing the parcel. These costs are set by your country’s government and paid via the courier.
• Returns: For standard returns (excluding faulty or incorrect items), you are responsible for return shipping. We will refund only the net value of the returned items in line with our returns policy. Unfortunately, we cannot refund any import charges you have paid, as these are collected by your local authorities.
• Refusals & Cancellations: Once dispatched, orders cannot be cancelled. If you refuse delivery or fail to pay the courier's import charges, the parcel will be returned to us. All associated courier and handling costs will be deducted from your refund. These costs are non-negotiable and out of our control.

'Delivered Duty Paid' (DDP) Service

What does this mean?
DDP ensures a seamless delivery experience. There will be no additional costs upon arrival, no courier collection of taxes, and no delays. The courier pays all customs and tax fees directly to your local government, and your parcel is delivered without interruption.

Why is there an additional DDP fee?
The DDP charge is a fixed cost collected by us on behalf of the courier. It includes:

• Import VAT based on your country's rate
• Applicable customs duties on the goods
• Courier handling and customs clearance fees

Returning items post-Brexit may incur additional costs depending on your country and the item(s) involved. These can include return shipping fees, customs re-entry charges, and handling fees.
