Is this the Best Hole-In-One Augusta’s Ever Seen?

Check out one of our favourite Sunday moments from Augusta this year – possibly ever:

Sunday at The Masters tournament is always special but an unprecedented three hole-in-ones at the 16th made it even more incredible to watch.

Beyond the epic collapse of Jordan Spieth and the fairytale-like victory of Danny Willett came the amazing results three players saw on the 16th hole.  First came Ireland’s Shane Lowry, whose celebration after acing the 16th was almost as spectacular as the shot itself.  Lowry’s hole-in-one was the first at The Masters since 2013 but just two groups later Davis Love III gave us another ace on the same hole.

Pretty cool stuff if it stayed with those two.  But the golfing gods weren’t finished with hole number 16 on Sunday and a few groups later provided what is possibly the most incredible hole-in-one we have ever seen, courtesy of Louis Oosthuizen.

Oosthuizen had just watched playing partner JB Holmes land a lovely shot right on the green.  The South African then teed off bouncing it onto the green and amazingly using Holmes’ ball to deflect his own in!  It was ridiculous, even according to Oosthuizen who by his own admission was having a pretty lacklustre weekend.

“The way I played today, nothing was really happening, so it was nice to do that, to just have a bit of a better day,” the Ping player told reporters afterwards.
