RORS∙PROTO Details
The RORS∙PROTO irons feature a compact, sleek design that delivers exceptional feel and versatility. Crafted from 1025 carbon steel, they undergo an intricate multi-step forging process to guarantee precise shaping, resulting in further improved feel and responsiveness. The horizontally milled channel in the cavity effectively separates mass along the vertical axis, allowing for precise inertia and trajectory control.
‘RORS∙PROTO’ is engraved on the back badge, and ‘FORGED’ is machined into the hosel. The four different coloured dots underneath the ‘FORGED’ script celebrate each of Rory's major victories in chronological order.
Rory's Heads, Your Spec
Drawing inspiration from the P∙730 irons, the RORS∙PROTO 7-iron and 8-iron showcase a thinner top line, adhering to Rory’s visual preferences. Unlike the MX9 grooves found in the P∙730, RORS∙PROTO irons are equipped with TW2 grooves, similar to those used in the P∙7TW irons. Rory finds that these grooves provide him with enhanced spin performance when playing from the rough.
