Targeted landing spot for more accurate Pitching

by Maura Hutchinson

Mark Crossfield looks at pinpoint accuracy in your pitching and understanding the landing zones near the green. The first thing to take into consideration is the area you are looking to land the golf ball around the green, work out how the ball will react when it lands there and which direction it might head in. So if there is a slight downslope before the green it will shoot forward, as opposed to if there is an upslope where the ball will stop quickly. Once you have this picture in your mind you can then choose the correct club and shot to get the desired result.
