I'm a petite lady so the length of the leg of this product is an issue for me. I do not like my shorts around my knees so I had to shorten these myself - I probably cut 4" off. This is a common problem with trousers and shorts - no-one really caters for petite people. Again being petite, the waistband is a fairly solid piece of elastic at least 2" deep - so it cuts in a little, a 1" waistband would have been quite sufficient. But having said that, they are a nice pair of shorts, easy to wear, haven't washed them yet, and if you're a normal height, not petite, they are probably fine for you.
