Driver Ball Position Explained by Mark Crossfield

by Maura Hutchinson

Mark Crossfield discusses ball position with the Driver. One of the most common mistakes in golf is where players put the ball almost outside of their left foot. Mark discusses the negative effects this can have on the swing.

However, if this helps you hit more fairways then it might be an idea to stick with it. Putting the ball further back in your stance doesn't usually provide players with any benefits. The ideal position is aligned just inside the left heel. If you are not sure then ask your local pro and maybe go for a lesson to get the most out of your Driver.
