Putting Alignment and Pace

In this Q&A Mark Crossfield is asked does putting alignment affect pace?

Mark shows how there are different ways and means of putting the ball in the hole, you can hit the putt really firmly and take out the majority of the break. The more traditional way of hitting the ball with enough pace for it to get a foot past the hole and finally trickling in the putt so the ball just reaches the hole. When you hit the putt so it only just reaches the hole you demonstrate how you will need to allow a far greater amount of break on the putt compared with a more firmly struck putt.
