Mark tackles the question that he is asked almost daily, should they use Hybrids or Long Irons?

Mark is very much in the hybrid camp, he goes up to a 5 iron and then has hybrids. He does this because the centre of gravity is off the face, so when he doesn’t hit the ball out the middle of the club it is far more forgiving.

There are a range of aspects that make the Hybrid more forgiving compared with a long iron.

Mark discusses how the misconception that hybrids are hard to shape and work. People usually think you can shape a long iron or control the trajectory.
