Justin Rose Teams Up With Niall Horan for Cancer Research UK
English golfer Justin Rose and One Direction’s Niall Horan are teaming up to host a gala dinner and golf tournament in May to support Cancer Research UK Kids & Teens.

The private charity event will be held the last weekend in May and features a dinner hosted by Kirsty Gallacher and catered by Jamie Oliver and his Fifteen Team.  Added bonuses include a performance from Olly Murs as well as a Q & A session with Rose and winning Ryder Cup captain, Paul McGinley.  The following day will consist of a pro-am golf event including breakfast, lunch and prizes.

“Niall and I are delighted to host this joint event in aid of CRUK kids and teens,” said Rose.  “Every penny we raise will go towards saving another child's life.”

Adding, “Teaming up with my good friend Niall is exciting, Niall is helping bring the game of golf to a brand new audience which will only help encourage more young people to take up the game.  It’s set to be a great couple of days.”

Rose announced the collaboration via Twitter today stating his delight at teaming up with Horan.  The two will also be partners at the BMW PGA Pro-Am at Wentworth.  Horan played in the event last year with pal Rory McIlroy but is just as excited to be hitting the course with an Englishman this time around.

“Playing in the BMW PGA Championship Celebrity Pro-am last year was incredible and I can’t wait to be involved again,” said Horan.  “Hitting my tee shot off the first in front of so many people was probably one of the most nerve-wracking things I’ve ever done, but once that was out of the way I relaxed and we had a laugh.”

Regarding his partner this year he added, “Justin has become a great friend over the last few years and I can’t wait to play alongside him.”
