European Tour history was made this past weekend as SSP Chawrasia successfully defended his Hero Indian Open title on Sunday. Becoming the first Indian golfer to ever win the same event back-to-back. Chawrasia sailed to a seven-stroke victory ahead of Gavin Green despite weather delays forcing him to complete seven of his third round holes on Sunday morning.

The four-time European Tour winner is now firmly focused on bringing his top-game to Europe this season.

“I learned many things this week and hopefully I can play better in Europe. That’s my target next, I have to win in Europe,” Chawrasia told reporters after his latest win.

Hadwin who jumped to #51 in the world golf rankings after Sunday’s win was supposed to be on his honeymoon in Tahiti next month but is now hoping he’ll be able to get his deposit back before heading to Augusta!

“I’m just hoping I get my deposit back,” Hadwin told reporters after his win. Adding, “You laugh like I’m joking; I’m serious here. I understand I won a nice check this week, but I don’t like to throw money away. Luckily we were kind of smart about it.  We booked refundable airfare tickets, so I can get that back. But the hotel deposit, I might have to work with the Four Seasons on that.”
