The PING G440 driver is meticulously designed to provide superior ball speed through innovative enhancements. It features PING's deepest centre of gravity (CG) in a driver to date, along with a shallower and thinner face, all while delivering the exceptional forgiveness associated with PING drivers.
This driver model is tailored to accommodate various player types, with each head profile engineered to produce optimal launch conditions that align with their unique swing characteristics. The overall system weight has been reduced by 10 grams, and the standard shaft length has increased by ¼" compared to previous models. These adjustments assist golfers in swinging more rapidly for higher-launching, longer drives, accompanied by a pleasingly muted sound.
G440 MAX: This model is crafted to offer maximum forgiveness, catering to a broad range of golfers. It is available in loft options of 9°, 10.5°, and 12° with a three-position adjustable back weight for fine-tuning performance.

Free-Hosel Technology
Weight reduction in a section of the hosel is strategically reallocated to lower the CG, allowing for enhanced ball speed, ideal spin rates, and higher launches, resulting in longer and straighter drives.
Hotter, Thinner Face
By decreasing the face height, the design allows the face to be both thinner and hotter, leading to increased ball speed and consistency across the clubface, including the high heel area.
Lighter Overall, Longer Shaft Length
The total system weight is decreased by 10 grams, with the standard length of the proprietary ALTA CB Blue shaft measuring 46" (¼" longer than the previous iteration). This assists golfers in achieving higher swing speeds while maintaining tight dispersion patterns. The standard length measures 45.5" for the PING Tour 2.0 (Chrome and Black) and stock aftermarket options (Project X Denali Red and Mitsubishi Tensei 1K Black).
CarbonFly Wrap Crown
Featured across all three models (MAX, LST, SFT), the CarbonFly Wrap crown minimises weight, which is reallocated to enhance forgiveness while contributing to a more pleasant sound at impact.
Heavier 3-Position Adjustable Back Weight
A 29-gram back weight in both the MAX and LST models guarantees forgiveness and allows the player to adjust to a draw, fade, or neutral position to influence shot shape and trajectory.
Trajectory Tuning 2.0 Adjustable Hosel
The lightweight 8-position hosel facilitates adjustments for loft (±1.5°) and lie (up to 3° flatter than standard) to further refine ball flight for optimal performance.
